Family-run guesthouse in a beautiful
Victorian period property in the quaint
Welsh village of Criccieth
Our Victorian property is comfortably furnished and, though we have carried out extensive remedial work, retains much of its original character. With 4 star ratings from Visit Wales and AA, you can rest assured that you will be well cared for.
We strive to ensure a memorable visit to Tremadog Bay by providing all the home comforts you’d expect and more.
You will be greeted by a warm and friendly atmosphere and encouraged to join us in the lounge which overlooks both Criccieth Castle and the wonderful coastline. It might interest you to know that the phrase "Min Y Gaer", when translated from Welsh, means "Near the Fort".
In the mornings, you may indulge in our full English breakfasts and relax in the lounge whilst we do all the work!
We aim to provide good food and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price which we believe represents excellent value for money.
Wi-Fi access is available throughout the guest house for both business and leisure guests so, if you’re desperate for your social networking fix, there’s no need to worry.
Criccieth is located on the south east corner of the Llyn Peninsula close to Snowdonia National Park, many local attractions and beaches. Treat yourself to a game of golf, bowls, tennis or squash, go climbing, walking or riding but don’t forget to stop for a moment and take in magnificent unspoilt views of the North Wales countryside.
If you enjoy the perfect mix of relaxation and productivity, a visit to North Wales is a must and Min Y Gaer is the ideal setting for you. If you would like to find out more about the local area, the guest house, or to make a booking, please contact us.
